Nottingham Forest loanee Gil Dias was partly at fault as his team surrendered a three-goal lead to draw 3-3 with Championship high-flyers Norwich City at Carrow Road on Boxing Day, and Reds fans were quick to have their say on his cameo performance.
Hopes were high when the east Midlands outfit brought the 22-year-old winger in on a season-long loan deal from Monaco during the summer transfer window, but he has struggled to make an impact at the City Ground having failed to score or assist in 20 league appearances.
The Portuguese attacker entered the field of play with seven minutes remaining when the scoreline was 3-1 in Norfolk, but bottling a challenge and then mis-timing a clearance played a part in Daniel Farke’s men securing a last-gasp point – a result which has reportedly left manager Aitor Karanka’s future in doubt.
Nottingham Forest supporters took to social media to have their say on the 6ft tall Dias’ display, and while one said “Dias should never pull on a Forest shirt again”, another said “if we’re gonna sack anyone, sack him”.
