Leeds United need to bring in some reinforcements in January in order to keep up with the leading pack.
After a series of injuries, Leeds’ form dropped off and in their six games following their loss to Birmingham, they only won one game.
Before the international break, Leeds were heavily beaten by fellow title contenders, West Brom in what was their worst performance of the season.
Against a West Brom side that excels going forward, Leeds struggled and with Stuart Dallas playing a right-back, the Yorkshire side just couldn’t stop West Brom’s second-half onslaught.
There are multiple areas where Leeds need to strengthen in January. They need a new goalkeeper following Peacock-Farrell’s poor form and Jamal Blackman’s injury.
They also could do with some defensive cover at fullback following the injury to Luke Ayling and crucially, Bielsa must bring some attackers to take the goalscoring load off Kemar Roofe.
According to Football Insider, United are in the hunt for Swansea winger, Daniel James.
The Breakdown
James made his debut for Swansea lasts season against Notts County and this year under Graham Potter he’s broken into the first-team and has played 10 games this year while grabbing four assists.
At 21-years-old, the quick winger has plenty of potential but remains too much of a gamble for Bielsa to take.
This year, the Championship has been at it’s most competitive for some time and with that in mind, Bielsa has to target a winger who is more experienced and can have a big impact on his side.
