Tottenham star Mikey Moore returned to form with a stunning hat-trick in England Under-19s' thumping 4-1 win over Belgium on Saturday. Moore scored his maiden hat-trick for England in the U19 age group as Will Antwi's side marched towards a comprehensive victory in the first of the two international friendlies they are scheduled to play during the October break.
Moore scores first hat-rick for England U19
Moore, who had earlier grabbed a treble for the Young Lions' Under-17 side back in November 2023, has now scored his first hat-trick for the England U19 team. It was a much-needed feat for the 18-year-old Tottenham Hotspur winger as he regained his form after a difficult loan spell at Rangers. Moore featured in the starting lineup alongside Spurs colleague Callum Olusesi and scored his first goal of the game at the stroke of half-time as he doubled his team's lead after Shumaira Mheuka's opener.
He then completed his hat-trick and England's rout by scoring two more goals in the 58th and 65th minutes. Both the Spurs duo were subbed off in the second half, with 23 minutes still left on the clock.

Moore, a Tottenham academy graduate who made his senior debut for the club in 2024, signed for Scottish Premiership side Rangers on a season-long loan deal this August. At Rangers, who are themselves struggling in the Premiership in the 2025-26 campaign, he has appeared in five matches thus far, where he has featured in the starting lineup in three matches. Overall, the teenager has appeared in 10 matches across all competitions and has clocked 452 minutes on the pitch. He is yet to score a goal for the Scottish giants but has registered an assist.
Despite his struggles in club football, Moore did manage to produce a stellar performance for the national team and finally regained his form. The winger will now aim to build on the performance against Belgium and try to deliver for Rangers when he returns to the club after the international break.
Moore's journey at Tottenham thus far
Moore was one of the few bright spots in what was a thoroughly disappointing 2024-25 season for Tottenham despite their Europa League-winning campaign. The youngster made his senior debut under then head coach Ange Postecoglou in the Carabao Cup before being a presence off the bench in several Premier League and Europa League clashes. Moore did draw attention from several clubs in the summer, including Serie A giants Juventus, but Spurs rejected all the offers before finally accepting Rangers' bid.

England will aim to replicate their performance against Belgium as they are now preparing to face neighbours Wales next in another international friendly on Tuesday. Moore, too, will hope to increase his goals tally for the English youth side and further boost his confidence before returning to the Scottish Premiership.
