da marjack bet: Ben Foster's proposed transfer from Manchester United to Birmingham City has inched closer to a resolution after it was confirmed that the goalkeeper will undergo a medical at St Andrew's on Tuesday.
da bwin: It is anticipated that the transfer will eventually go through later this week after the two clubs agreed a £6million fee for the shot-stopper's services.
The 27-year-old moved to the top of Alex McLeish's wish-list when Joe Hart, who enjoyed a successful season-long loan deal with the Blues in the 2009-10 campaign, returned to Manchester City earlier this month.
Foster revealed recently that he may have to leave Old Trafford in order to kick-start his career despite starting the season as Sir Alex Ferguson's first-choice goalkeeper when Edwin van der Sar was injured
However, high-profile mistakes against Manchester City and Sunderland saw him lose his place in the starting line-up and he has also drifted out of Fabio Capello's England plans.
Foster said recently: "You never want to leave Manchester United but I want to be playing football. I am not interested in just hanging about. I would go if the club wanted to sell me."Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
