da fazobetai: We all know that it will be a sad day at Parkhead when Kieran Tierney makes his bow with the Bhoys, but that day could be set to come very soon and whilst the goodbye will tough, finding a replacement will be key, that’s where the links to Boli Mbombo come in.
da 888:
According to The Daily Mail, Neil Lennon’s Celtic have already eyed up a man who could come in and act as a direct replacement for their homegrown superstar too. The young Rapid Vienna left-back Boli Mbombo may not be one who you know much about, but he undoubtedly has the talents to star for the Hoops.
At the age of just 23-years-old, the defender, who also just so happens to be the cousin of Belgium and Manchester United star Romelu Lukaku, could be on his way to Glasgow on the back of a mightily impressive season in the Austrian Bundesliga, where it likely wouldn’t take him long to star.
The youngster has proven this season to have the versatility to play anywhere down the left flank, and as his contributions this season have seen him provide five assists and two goals for his side’s cause, there really is no reason why the £3.15m rated ace can’t be the next fan-favourite marauding full-back at Parkhead, stats and valuation via Transfermarkt.
In an ideal world, we know that you Bhoys would rather see Mbombo stay where he is and Tierney likewise, but with Arsenal’s interest in the impressive defender growing, it’s hard to envisage a world in which Unai Emry doesn’t get his man seeing as the Mail’s story also talks of Arsenal getting closer and closer to Celtic’s £25m valuation of their Scottish star.
Whatever happens, as long as the Hoops have someone of the ilk of Mbombo to step into Tierney’s shows then next season really shouldn’t be as tough as you’d expect the club’s first post-Tierney season to be. It’s just up to Lennon to act fast and ensure the money for his current well-sought after defender is reinvested into the young defender sooner rather than later.
